Blazblue's Mai Natsume from Remix Heart

Exciting news!

One of my favorite characters in the Blazblue series is officially going to be in the game!
She'll start off as a character in story mode, but that usually means that is a step towards becoming a future playable character! She'll be joined with Cajun Faycott, her roommate who also has a mysterious back-story.

She isn't very known outside of the game but she is one of the main heroines of the Blazblue story!

The reason she is not too well known outside of the fighting franchise is because she made her debut in a Blazblue manga called Remix Heart. It was a spin-off series that took place when Noel and her friends were still in military academy, this was years before the events of Blazblue: Calamity Trigger took place. Now it is no means a 10/10 manga, but I enjoyed it for what it was. It was a typical ecchi manga featuring popular characters from the game in the beginning and it only had a small plot to work with, but the plot in this story seems to directly tie in with the one in the main game, so canon much? I enjoyed the character interactions of my favorite characters the most so I became a big fan of the series!

I only fan-girled a little... I only BOUGHT the series a little.. @_@ :F

The artwork and gags were done very well! I enjoyed them at least and found it quite funny!

It was then they met Mai, who we find out is actually a boy that was turned into a girl against her will due to SPOILERS. Long story short, Mai merged with the Nameless Grimiore, Grimiore vessels are only allowed to be female, so the Grimiore transformed her body. Due to this, Mai is gifted with MASSIVE BREASTS. :F

Yeah, no... you can't make this stuff up.

It does not stop there, through the side effect of transforming she somehow acquires a special power that the characters call Super Tasting. This power enhances the powers of her taste, which ranges from tasting the feelings and emotions to downright mind-reading the people she tastes. This goes a level up when she realizes she can transfer information through kissing. Although a weird power, it strangely fit into the story and action very well.

Yeah, Mori character designs don't make sense...

Seriously though, Super Taste went a long way. A lot of the early chapters consisted of:

Mai: "Nnngh!... We can't beat this...!"
Makoto: "Have you tried licking it??"
Mai: "Er...?"
Tsubaki: "MAI! GO LICK IT NOW!"
Mai: "GOT IT!"

...
Mai: "gg!"

That being said... Mai still fights and has her share of fight scenes. She wields a sword and a knife, and she can summon swords at will apparently. It will be interesting how they implement her character into the game!
